Purchasing again!
I’m pretty new to the world of primers, but I bought some high-end $33 tube that was very soft and comfortable to put on. I just didn’t really notice much difference.This product however, I feel like it creates a barrier between the dirt in the outside world and my clean face. It also keeps the make up on through anything! I went and had a chair massage, where you put your face down into a paper towel and get your upper neck rubbed really hard which is pretty much stuff in your face in the paper towel, only to set up when it was done and have no make up on the paper towel!You don’t need much, I’m struggling with breakouts (so my make up is a bit heavy these days )so I use one full pump and I would never recommend more than that. It would feel like glue. But I’m really pleased with this product and this is one of three primers for the face that I have tried. No breakout issues.

The holy grail
I don’t know why I waited so long to try this but now that I have it’s a staple in my makeup routine. I’ve had issues with other primers just clogging my pores, or not working on certain areas of my face but this is great. It creates a good barrier between my skin and the other products, and keeps my makeup fresh all day.

It works!
This is the first primer I actually like. I was surprised by the tackiness. It’s a sticky one. I have to wash my hand after putting this on but the foundation sits nice on the skin and it doesn’t feel tacky once the foundation is on even if I chose not to set it with powder. It does little to help with my textured skin but it’s still a nice base.

Love love love this stuff
I use this on days that I wear foundation. Nothing I’ve tried makes my makeup stick like this stuff. Your foundation will last all day!! My skin is on the dry side and I feel like it helps stop foundation from caking up on dry patches of skin. Gives a more even coverage. The trick is to let it FULLY dry before applying foundation, otherwise it will pill or look patchy.

Paired with the elf 16hr setting spray my makeup held on surprisingly well! I wore it for a festival. I did my makeup around 9am, and everything stayed pretty well in 90°+ heat running and jumping around while sweating a ton until 1am

Pretty Good Primer Especially For Price!
I use Fenty Beauty’s Matte Foundation, and I normally pair it with their matte primer (which if you know anything about Fenty, you know it’s not cheap.) I figured I might as well try this primer, as it has great reviews and is pretty cost effective, and honestly it’s been great! You can definitely feel the stickiness and the grip it has on your skin and makeup, and it really helps my makeup stay in place! I’m going to just buy this primer from here on out, and I def recommend this to anyone also using a water based foundation! Very impressed 9/10!

Best on the market I found
This product acts almost like a glue and your make up cannot not stick to it. I always find my make up looks so glowy and so on point when I use this and I use this at least five times a week and I feel like the niacinamide has really improved my skin too. The important thing is to apply it directly to your cheeks and spread from the center outwards, do your forehead and then your neck. The product must be applied quickly to spread evenly and I find it best to use your fingers.

Love this primer!!
I love this primer! As a 60+ year old my skin needs and responses to product have changed. I dab a bit of this on my eyelids and my shadow stays put all day. I also gently dab on my face to hold my makeup. I compared it with the Thank Me Later Elizabeth Mott eyelid primer and this outperformed on me. Two thumbs up for effectiveness and a great price. Next I’ll try the ELF hydrating primer to compare….

Staying power! And goodbye separation
I previously used the Poreless Putty Primer also from elf. It worked fine, smooth skin, and no irritation. But I recently switched foundations from elf to morphe brand, and the two DID NOT MIX. I could not get the foundation to pack properly on that primer. It started separating instantly and looked terrible at first, and even worse after an hour or two (just too much oil I guess). Decided to try this primer instead. Instantly worked SO MUCH BETTER. Foundation went on great, no separation, and didn’t have to use nearly as much foundation as before to get the full coverage look I wanted. I have oily skin so usually after about half the day, my makeup has separated anyway, but after 8 hours of wear with this primer, my makeup still looked great and had barely any separating! I usually let it dry for a minute or so before putting on the foundation. It really locks in my moisturizer and allows smooth application of makeup! I have uber sensitive skin and have not had any irritation from this so far.

Gorilla grip
This primer holds my makeup better than any other primer I’ve tried. It’s a bit hard to spread because of how thick it is, so I mix it with a moisturizer. The moisturizer doesn’t seem to make it any less effective but it makes it a ton easier to spread evenly.

Make sure to match silicone-silicone and water-water based products!
This is definitely as sticky as people have been saying, but it didn’t work well for me if I didn’t purposely choose a water based foundation to use it with.I used Revlon Colorstay and found that this caused it to separate after around 5 hours of wear, but when used with the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation, which is water based, I had no issues and my makeup lasted me all day.Many of the foundations that work for oily skin types are silicone based so if you have base products that already work for oily skin, I would say it’s not worth your while to purchase a primer that will require additional other purchases to use. For what it is, it’s a lovely and affordable product though!

Does the job
Didn’t think it would make a difference. But applying primer is the foundation of you makeup. This primer does the job.
